Osman Saraç earned a BA degree from Ankara University Political Sciences Faculty International Relations Department, and MA degree from Gazi University Social Sciences Institute Finance Department. He is currently studying on his doctorate at Marmara University Banking and Insurance Institute on banking.
Saraç worked as Financial Inspector at the Ministry of Finance between 1998 and 2005; as Vice Chairman of Istanbul Gold Exchange between 2005 and 2006, and as Chairman of Istanbul Gold Exchange between 2006 and 2013. Between 2013 and 2016, he worked as sworn CPA and consultant. Furthermore, he was the Chairman of a participation of Kalkınma Bankası A.Ş. in 2005 and a Jewelry Assembly Member and Capital Markets Assembly Member at the Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges of Turkey (TOBB) between 2005 and 2013.
Osman Saraç has authored four books, and numerous professional and scientific articles. Saraç was elected as Borsa İstanbul Board member at Borsa İstanbul General Assembly meeting on April 1, 2016. He was appointed as Deputy Chairman and CEO on the same day.
